Call your representative and ask her/him to co-sponsor the No T.R.U.M.P. Bill.
The bill, the No Taxpayer Revenue Used to Monetize the Presidency Act, or, the No T.R.U.M.P. Act, “would prohibit the use of taxpayer dollars to pay for events, overnight stays, food or other expenses at hotels owned or operated by a president or his relatives,” reports USA Today.
The report adds: “Blumenauer said he’s long been concerned about Trump’s refusal to divest his ownership stake in the Trump Organization. The issues have become more evident with reports of taxpayers footing bills for Secret Service and embassy officials to travel with Trump’s children on a business trip and as government officials spend time at Trump facilities.”
Call your Representative and ask her/him to co-sponsor the No T.R.U.M.P. Bill. And you know how to call. Either you already have your Representative on speed dial, or you can call using the Capitol Switchboard: 202-224-3121.
H/t to Daily Action:
From @DailyAction’s FB page: Encourage your Democratic rep to cosponsor this effort to rein in corruption at the highest levels of government. If your rep is a Republican, remind them that our taxpayer dollars should go to roads and schools—not to the already-lined pockets of the man in the Oval Office.
